FAQs
How would Office In My Pocket get my emails to me?

The OfficeInMyPocket.com servers collect email messages from your internet provider's email server, then send them instantly to your phone. This means that you won't need to log in and retrieve them.

The emails (incoming and outgoing) will still be stored on your ISP's server, so they'll also appear on your computer when you turn it on.

Will new emails be pushed to my phone 24 hours a day, 7 days a week?

You have full control over when you receive new messages. You can set the service to only deliver emails to your phone at certain times on certain days. If you prefer you to even turn automatic push delivery off and synchronise manually. This may reduce data charges if you're using the service while overseas.

Would Office In My Pocket let me access more than one email account?

Yes. It allows you to deliver messages from up to four email accounts to your mobile phone.

Does the service automatically deliver the full email message with attachments?

No. OfficeInMyPocket.com will deliver the first 1,000 characters of each email message to your mobile. As you scroll down and read the message your phone will connect back to the server and download the remainder of message. You can download and open attachments by clicking on the 'attachments' link in the message.

We've set the service up this way so you can choose which long messages or attachments you want to view. This helps to keep data costs down and reduces the memory needed.

How will my phone link to the internet?

Normally it would connect automatically through your phone's GPRS mobile internet connection. It can also connect through WiFi where's it's available, if your phone supports that.

Does it matter which network I'm on?

No. You can use OfficeInMyPocket.com with any network in the UK (The service has been fully tested on O2,Vodafone,Orange and T Mobile)as well as overseas, but your phone needs to be set up to enable mobile data access.

We strongly recommend you include a mobile internet data bundle in your mobile phone contract. All UK network operators offer reasonably priced options.
